WHAT REQUIREMENTS MUST DISCS MEET FOR USE IN NUCLEAR ENVIRONMENTS?

PMUC products must contain a limited amount of halogens (fluorine, chlorine and bromine) and sulphur, as these elements can, under certain conditions, cause various forms of corrosion in metal alloys. They could
endanger the nuclear installations at the heart of the plants. In addition, these PMUC products must be free of prohibited materials, including lead, mercury, tin, zinc, cadmium, arsenic, antimony, copper, silver, cobalt and
iron.
